Hope i did this right

This is my first page created on this wiki ! I hope i did this right, if so, i intend to write more ! I also began to write a walkthrough (currently unfinished and therefore unpublished), i don't know if that's ok.
This wiki is a good idea, i hope to see it grow in the future ! (and contribute to its growth)

What do you think: Who is The Clerk?

I think, he might be... the devil. Also did you notice, that the atmosphere is quite a bit sinister when returning to the 2nd "trinkets mission" near the end of the game. And the huge lava falls? Or am I going to far in my interpretation? The soundscape is quite dark also. And we see insects all over the area. That is often done to imply something "evil". We do see these insects e.g. in some other places, but in places that are old, like in one corridor in the Monk's temple. And they fit the scenery.
But in the 2nd run through the "trinkets mission" of the game those insects/bugs (don't know the right word, sorry, no native English speaker) they are *everywhere*. This is a stylistic approach that is also done e.g. in "Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" when the Hobbits hide from the dark riders under a tree's root. And when the dark riders approach we see all these insects bugs coming up from the earth.
And the gift shop's clerk is a deceiver. He once says "taking something someone else desires the most was stroke of genius." Pretty evil, don't you think?
So, what do you think about my theory? I started thinking about it, as I watched the Double Fine Fanclub chat with Ron Gilbert. http://pastebin.com/bKq0bmWP [via: http://www.doublefine.com/forums/viewthread/8710] Search for:  "Grumpygamer: Ask yourself this: Who is The Clerk?"
I tried to ask Ron Gilbert on twitter about this, but haven't got a reply. Maybe it would be a spoiler.

What point do we play at in everyones story?

So it would be logical to assume that we play just before they commit whatever terrible act they plan on doing, that would explain why we can redeem ourselves by handing back our treasure. But when I was editing the Twins article I noticed that in the Twins bad ending they die and well, they look pretty ghastly when playing as them and their ability is ghost, so shouldn't they look normal if we are playing as them before they die? Any thoughts on the matter?

going back?

While working on just the second (third?) "challenge", ie the one with the princess standing on a balcony, I inadvertantly proceeded too far forward and went over a "one way" into the next challenge, ie The Carnival.  Is there a way back to the previous area?

Do each of the characters represent one of the seven deadly sins?

I'm not sure about the rest, but it seems like:
Time Traveler: Envy
Knight: Pride
Hillbilly: Lust
I only know these because I played their storylines. Judging by the characters this is what i'm guessing to be the rest.
Adventurer: Greed
Sloth: The Twins
The Monk: Wrath
Scientist: Gluttony?
